Parents, you are one of the most influential people in your teenagers’ lives!
According to an MTV and Associated Press survey, spending time with their family makes teenagers happy. Almost no one said that money made them happy. And being sexually active actually leads them to be less happy.1
Being a parent who is connected to your kids is tough work! But it’s so worth it! You were a teenager once (even if your kids don’t think you were!) and you remember the pressures that you faced. But teenagers today have even more pressure on them! The media is a huge influence in their lives, so you have to make sure that you’re influencing them even more!If you’re interested in a Parents’ Workshop, I would love to come and talk to your group or organization. We can talk about the pressures that teens face, the sexually transmitted infections that they are at risk for, social networks (like MySpace), and what you can do to be active in their lives!

Our society needs the help of concerned parents to help turn the tide of teenage pregnancy and STI rates. We encourage the students that we educate to have a conversation with YOU about abstinence and sexual self-control. It may start out as an awkward conversation, but your teenagers want to hear it from you! You can be the biggest and best influence in their lives!
